Warrior vs SPHERE of DOOM.
I’m at Worldcon this weekend where Diesel is displaying his collection of early D&D art including his own work, pieces given to him by colleagues, and items he rescued from the TSR dumpster.  Greg Bell’s illustration for the OD&D Greyhawk supplement was a dumpster dive rescue, now framed with a copy of Greyhawk for comparison (the caption was removed and the beholder moved slightly to the right for the published version).
The exhibit is an amazing stroll through gaming history and I wish I could post the whole collection but photos are not allowed in the art room, so the pic above is via the Zenopus Archives.
